Bosch Security Alarm Systems - Differences Between Solution 2000, 3000 & 6000

Bosch Solution Alarm Family

Bosch alarm systems provide home and small to medium business owners with security they can trust. Bosch alarm products are specifically designed for Australian regulations and conditions, making them ideal for NBN and local Wireless Communication. Bosch alarm systems can be self-monitored using mobile apps which alert you to any changes in the alarm system’s state (for example when the alarm system is armed or disarmed by a user, or when an intrusion is detected). All Bosch alarm panels can be additionally connected to and monitored by professional back-to-base security monitoring companies using ethernet and/or wireless communicators. Depending on the service agreement with the monitoring company, patrols can be sent out when an alarm state is detected and confirmed.

NOTE: Security Alarm Systems need to be installed by an installer with a Security License. Licensed installers are background-checked and registered with the Police.

When purchasing an alarm system, it’s not just the cost of the parts and installation that you need to think about. False alarms and product break downs can add significant cost through the lifetime of a system. Bosch Security Alarms are known in the security industry for their fitness of purpose, reliability, longevity, and outstanding detector catch performance and close-to-zero false alarm rates. Bosch hold a large number of patents for alarm detection technology and are renowned for their professional detectors and Pet-Friendly residential detectors that allow your four-legged friends to stay inside when the alarm is on.

Three Bosch Alarm System families are available.

Bosch Solution 2000 and Wired Bosch Solution 3000 Alarm Kits and Wireless Bosch Solution 3000 Alarm Kits

The Solution 2000 and 3000 Alarm Systems are ideal for homes, apartments, and small to medium retail units. The systems allow 8 and 16 fully programmable zones respectively and can be controlled using a selection of keypads, remote keyfobs or using a mobile device and the free Bosch RSC+ App. An IP Communication Module (B426M) is required for mobile device control. For existing apartment, heritage listed buildings and places where cabling is not available or hard to facilitate, the Bosch Solution 3000 Alarm provides the option of using Wireless Detection Devices such as intrusion detectors/sensors, reed switches (for monitoring of doors and windows), smoke detectors, glass-break detectors and remotes.

Bosch Solution 6000 Alarm System

Solution 6000 is an integrated intrusion and building access control system. It is ideal for large homes and commercial buildings that required door access control and offers amazing value for money. Up to 144 zones, 990 user codes, 16 access doors and 40 outputs can be used with the Bosch Solution 6000 System. Smart cards, smart tokens and/or numeric external keypads can be used for door access. A full-featured mobile app (Wi-Fi Keypad, IP Module or GPRS Communicator hardware required), self-monitoring and reporting plans are available via MyAlarm.com.au. Similar to the 3000 panel, keyfob remotes as well as wireless receivers and detection devices are on offer.

Selecting a Bosch Alarm System

licensed security installer quotation request can advise on the most suitable alarm system for your premises. The chosen systems will depend on the building, ability to run wires, your particular security requirements and your budget.

The size of the building and areas within usually determine the number of detection zones. Small houses for example often use 3 PIR detectors while larger homes may use 5 and commercial buildings or warehouses can run into tens of sensors. Other detection devices such as door/roller door and window reed switches, outdoor PIRs or Glass Break Detectors can be used to increase security levels and raise an alarm even before an intruder enters the premises. A security installation professional can outline all security measures available with Bosch Solution Alarms.

Popular Residential Bosch Alarm Kits available at Micron include the Alarm Panel, Keypad (options including Icon LCD, Alpha Numeric LCD and Touchscreen keypads are available), a Metal Enclosure, Tamper, Detectors (choose from PIR, QUAD or TRITECH detectors). A choice from four Alarm Accessory Kits (outdoor siren and strobe, internal screamer, plug back and battery) completes a basic alarm system.

Commercial intrusion products such as Bosch Pro-Series Detectors, High Ceiling Dtectors and third-party products such as PE Beams, Card Readers and External Keypads are available for larger applications. Sizeable commercial applications quite often use the Bosch Solution 6000 panel.

Mobile App control can be added with additional products for all three Solution Alarms. Contact a licensed security installer for more details.
